Frank Lloyd Wright's Backround and Childhood
The amazing architect Frank Lloyd Wright was born on June 8, 1867! That's more than a hundred years ago! He was born at the Richland center in Wisconsin. Frank Lloyd Wright's nationality is American. Apart from working as an architect, Frank Lloyd Wright was an interior designer and a writer; he must of been busy! At the age of fourteen, Anna and William (his parents) separated. In high school, Frank went to Madison high school, but there is no evidence he ever graduated and still he turned out to be one of the best architects in the United States of America. As a young child, Frank's mother bought her family a set of educational blocks called Froebel Gifts on her trip to Philadelphia. This may or may not have sparked Frank's skills in architecture.
Family
Frank Lloyd Wright's father's name was William Carey Wright. William worked as a music teacher and
an occasional lawyer. Looks like Frank wasn't the only one in his family who had multiple jobs! William married Anna Lloyd Jones. She worked as a country school teacher. Wow, two teachers in one household! Frank must of had a lot of pressure to do well in school.
